A quick and creamy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta recipe ready in just 15 minutes, featuring paprika-marinated shrimp pan-fried to perfection and tossed with a rich, cheesy cream sauce and tender pasta, garnished with fresh parsley for a delicious and comforting meal.

Ingredients

Shrimp Marinade

  • 150 g Shrimp
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp smoked salt
  • 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1.5 tbsp oil

Sauce & Pasta

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1.5 cups cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 2 servings cooked pasta (about 300g)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp: In a bowl, combine shrimp with paprika, onion powder, oregano, smoked salt, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and oil. Mix until the shrimp are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  2. Cook the shrimp: Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Pan fry the marinated shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until they are about 90% cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  3. Sauté the onions: Using the same pan, sauté the chopped onions over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until they become soft and translucent, stirring occasionally to avoid burning.
  4. Prepare the Alfredo sauce: Lower the heat to medium-low and add the cream to the pan. Bring the cream to a gentle simmer over 2-3 minutes. Stir in salt, pepper, and shredded cheese. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
  5. Toss pasta and shrimp in sauce: Add the cooked pasta and shrimp back into the pan with the Alfredo sauce. Toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until the shrimp and pasta are evenly coated with the creamy sauce.
  6. Garnish and serve: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately for a flavorful and creamy pasta dish.

Notes

  • Use freshly cooked pasta for best texture and flavor.
  • You can substitute the shrimp with chicken or scallops if preferred.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste, especially salt, based on your cheese variety.
  • For a lighter option, use half-and-half or milk instead of cream, but sauce may be less rich.
  • Make sure not to overcook the shrimp to keep them tender and juicy.
