These Air Fryer Hamburgers are quick, juicy, and packed with flavor. Seasoned with garlic, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and a touch of pepper and salt, these burgers cook evenly in the air fryer, delivering a perfectly charred exterior and tender interior in under 25 minutes. Ideal for a simple and satisfying weeknight meal, they can be enjoyed with your favorite toppings and cheese melted right in the air fryer for an easy finish.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: cheese slices for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, mix the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, ground pepper, and salt. Be careful not to overwork the meat to keep your burgers tender.
  2. Form Patties: Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions. Gently roll each into a ball and then flatten to form patties of even thickness for uniform cooking.
  3. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C). If your model does not have a preheat function, run it empty at 370°F for 5 minutes to ensure it is hot before cooking.
  4. Cook Patties: Place the patties in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap for even cooking. Cook for 6 minutes at 370°F.
  5. Flip and Continue Cooking: Flip each burger and cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C), ensuring the burgers are fully cooked and safe to eat.
  6. Add Cheese: If using cheese, place slices on each patty and air fry for about 1 more minute until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Remove the burgers from the air fryer immediately and serve hot with your favorite buns, toppings, and condiments for a delicious meal.

Notes

  • Do not overwork the beef mixture to avoid tough burgers.
  • If you want cheeseburgers, add the cheese after flipping and cook just until melted to prevent overcooking the patties.
  • Ensure burgers are spaced adequately in the air fryer basket for best air circulation and even cooking.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check internal temperature for food safety; USDA recommends 160°F for ground beef.
  • Customize your seasoning blend by adding other herbs or spices according to taste.
  • Optional toppings include lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and your favorite sauces.
