A refreshing and fruity Berry Wine Slushie made with frozen wine cubes, mixed berries, and a touch of honey, blended into a cool, slushy cocktail perfect for warm days or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Wine Ice Cubes

  • 2 cups red, white, rosé, or sparkling wine
  • 3 ice cubes

Berry Mixture

  • 1/4 cup raspberries
  • 1/4 cup blackberries
  • 1/4 cup sliced frozen strawberries

Additional

  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • Fresh or frozen berries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Wine Cubes: Pour 2 cups of your choice of wine (red, white, rosé, or sparkling) into an ice cube tray and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight to create wine ice cubes.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a blender, combine 3 regular ice cubes, 6 frozen wine cubes, 1/4 cup raspberries, 1/4 cup blackberries, 1/4 cup sliced frozen strawberries, and 1 tablespoon honey if using.
  3. Blend to Slush: Blend the mixture well until it reaches a smooth, slushy consistency, ensuring the ice and fruit are fully crushed and incorporated.
  4. Serve: Pour the blended slushie into a chilled glass for maximum refreshment.
  5. Garnish and Enjoy: Garnish with fresh or frozen berries on top and serve immediately to enjoy a fruity, chilled cocktail.

Notes

  • Freezing wine into cubes makes for a more flavorful and authentic wine slushie compared to using plain ice.
  • Honey is optional and can be adjusted or omitted based on desired sweetness.
  • Use frozen berries to help maintain the slushy texture without watering down the drink.
  • The recipe can be doubled or halved according to the number of servings needed.
  • Chilling the serving glass enhances the cold experience of the slushie.
