Brazilian Limeade is a refreshing and zesty beverage made with fresh limes, cold water, and sweetened condensed milk. This creamy citrus drink is quick and easy to prepare, perfect for cooling down on a warm day with a luscious, sweet-tart flavor.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 6 fresh limes
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups ice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Limes: Wash the limes thoroughly and chop each lime into about 8 pieces to make blending easier and to release more juice.
  2. Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the chopped lime pieces, cold water, and sweetened condensed milk. Blend for a few minutes until the mixture is as smooth as possible.
  3. Strain the Mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove the pulp and rind bits, leaving a smooth limeade.
  4. Serve Over Ice: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the strained limeade over the ice. Serve immediately for the freshest taste.

Notes

  • Brazilian limeade does not keep well, so it is best consumed shortly after making.
  • If you have leftovers, freeze the limeade into popsicles for a delicious frozen treat.
  • If the limeade is too sour or bitter, adjust sweetness by adding more sweetened condensed milk or prepare a simple syrup by dissolving 1 cup sugar in 1 cup warm water; stir in and chill before serving.
