Ingredients

Base

  • 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers (about 6 halves)

Cheesecake Layer

  • 12 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Caramel Layer

  • 16 ounces Marzetti’s Old Fashioned Caramel Dip, warmed

Topping

  • 4 ounces whipped topping (Cool Whip)
  • 1/3 cup salted peanuts, chopped

For Serving

  • Sliced apples and pears

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: Sprinkle the crushed graham crackers evenly on the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate to form the crust layer.
  2. Make the Cheesecake Layer: Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, blend the cream cheese and salted butter together for 1 minute until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then blend on high for an additional minute until creamy and well combined.
  3. Assemble the Cheesecake Layer: Spoon the cream cheese mixture carefully over the graham cracker crust, spreading it out evenly.
  4. Add the Caramel Layer: Warm the caramel dip according to package instructions and spoon it evenly over the cheesecake layer. Allow the caramel to cool to room temperature before proceeding.
  5. Top with Whipped Cream and Peanuts: Spread the whipped topping over the cooled caramel layer and sprinkle the chopped salted peanuts evenly on top.
  6. Chill and Serve: Store the assembled dip in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Serve chilled with fresh sliced apples and pears for dipping. This dip can be prepared a day in advance for convenience.

Notes

  • This dip is best served chilled and can be made up to 24 hours in advance.
  • For a smoother caramel layer, ensure the caramel dip is warmed evenly before spreading and cooled before adding the whipped topping.
  • You can substitute the salted peanuts with pecans or walnuts for a different crunch and flavor.
  • The nutritional values are based on 8 servings and may vary depending on specific brands used.
  • Use fresh, crisp apples and pears for the best dipping experience.
  • Not suitable for those with nut allergies due to peanuts in topping.
