This Cinnamon Crescent Roll Cheesecake Stuffed Wreath is a delightful and easy holiday treat perfect for brunch or cozy gatherings. Featuring a creamy cinnamon-spiced cheesecake filling enveloped in flaky crescent roll dough, this festive wreath combines sweet and spiced flavors with a beautiful presentation. Ready in just 15 minutes of prep and baked to a golden brown, it’s topped with a simple powdered sugar drizzle for added sweetness.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 crescent roll packages (8 oz. each)

Cheesecake Filling

  • 1 8 oz. block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Topping

  • Extra cinnamon and sugar for sprinkling

Drizzle

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
  • Optional: chopped pecans for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for baking.
  2. Make Cheesecake Filling: In a small bowl, use a mixer to blend softened cream cheese, cinnamon, vanilla, sugar, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Set this mixture aside.
  3. Prepare Baking Surface: Lightly grease a pizza pan or a round cookie sheet to prevent sticking and to help easily transfer your wreath after baking.
  4. Form Crescent Ring: Take one can of crescent rolls, gently fold each crescent in half, and lay them on the pan close to the outer edge to form a circle. Open and unfold the crescents. Overlap the next crescent about halfway onto the previous one, pressing firmly to connect the dough. Continue this process until you have a full circular wreath shape.
  5. Add Cheesecake Filling: Spoon a small amount of the cream cheese mixture above each crescent seam, spreading it outward slightly toward where the crescent edges intersect, ensuring even distribution of filling.
  6. Fold Crescents: Fold each crescent over the filling and press edges lightly. Sprinkle the entire wreath generously with cinnamon and sugar for a sweet, crunchy topping.
  7. Bake: Place the wreath in the preheated oven and bake for 15-17 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through to your liking.
  8. Cool and Drizzle: Allow the baked wreath to cool slightly. Then mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth for the drizzle. Drizzle over the wreath evenly. Optionally, sprinkle chopped pecans on top for added texture and flavor.
  9. Serve: Slice and serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy this festive and comforting holiday treat!

Notes

  • Regular crescent rolls are preferred over the Grands brand as they bake more evenly; Grands can be thicker and trickier to bake through.
  • You can prepare the wreath assembly up to 24 hours in advance and bake it just before serving to save time.
  • Omit cinnamon in the cheesecake filling for a classic plain cheesecake taste.
  • For a festive presentation, consider adding fake holly in the wreath’s center (not edible, just decorative).
