Honey Garlic Sriracha Shrimp is a quick and flavorful dish featuring succulent shrimp cooked in a sticky, sweet, and spicy honey garlic sriracha sauce. Ready in just 20 minutes, it’s perfect as an appetizer or served over rice or vegetables for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Shrimp

  • 2 pounds raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 3 tablespoons Sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced or grated
  • 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cook the Shrimp: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: While the shrimp cooks, whisk together honey, low sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos, Sriracha, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, cornstarch, ground ginger, kosher salt, and black pepper in a small bowl until smooth.
  3. Combine Shrimp and Sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked shrimp in the skillet. Continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp evenly.
  4. Finish and Serve: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately over rice or alongside your favorite vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Adjust the amount of Sriracha according to your spice preference.
  • For a gluten-free option, use coconut aminos instead of soy sauce.
  • Garnish with extra green onions or sesame seeds for added flavor and presentation.
