Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 family size pack Oreos (1 lb. 2.12 oz), divided
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Pudding Layer

  • 2 cups cold 2% milk
  • 1 package Oreo instant pudding mix (4.2 oz)
  • 1 tub whipped topping extra creamy (8 oz), thawed

Topping

  • 16 oz chocolate fudge topping (e.g., Ghirardelli)
  • 1 package Oreo thins

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Place 2 of the 3 sleeves of Oreos in a large storage bag, remove air, seal, and crush until crumbled using a rolling pin or food processor pulsing. Pour melted butter into the bag and toss until fully absorbed.
  2. Form the Crust: Line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper. Spread the crushed Oreo mixture evenly in the bottom to form a crust. Place in the freezer to harden.
  3. Make the Pudding: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together cold milk and Oreo instant pudding mix for 5 minutes until the pudding sets.
  4. Fold in Whipped Topping: Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the pudding mixture until fully combined. If the whipped topping is too frozen, soften it quickly with an electric mixer.
  5. Layer Dessert: Spoon half of the pudding mixture over the Oreo crust, spreading evenly. Pour chocolate fudge topping over the pudding layer and swirl gently.
  6. Add Oreo Thins: Arrange Oreo thins evenly on top in a 5 by 7 grid (5 columns and 7 rows).
  7. Top with Remaining Pudding: Spread the remaining pudding mixture evenly over the Oreo thins layer.
  8. Sprinkle Crumbled Oreos: Pulse or crush the last sleeve of regular Oreos and sprinkle the crumbs evenly on top. Drizzle remaining chocolate fudge topping over the crumbs.
  9. Freeze to Set: Cover the pan with tinfoil and freeze for at least 2 hours to set the dessert.
  10. Serve: Remove from freezer 10-15 minutes before serving for easier slicing. Enjoy your Oreo pudding dessert!

Notes

  • Store the dessert in the freezer and remove 10-15 minutes prior to serving for smooth slices.
  • Enhance with sprinkles or fresh strawberries and raspberries for added color and flavor.
