This easy-to-make dessert is perfect for gatherings and satisfies any sweet tooth with its layers of peanut butter and chocolate goodness.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 (16 oz) package Nutter Butter sandwich cookies
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp milk

Pudding Layer

  • 2 (3.9 oz) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk

Toppings

  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Place the peanut butter cookies in a food processor and pulse into fine crumbs. Pour in the melted butter and stir until well combined. Press the cookie mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan. Set aside.
  2. Make the Peanut Butter Layer: In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, creamy peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and milk, then mix until fully incorporated. Spoon this mixture evenly over the prepared crust, smoothing gently to avoid lifting crumbs from the crust layer.
  3. Prepare the Pudding Layer: In a bowl, pour the 3 cups of milk and sprinkle the instant chocolate pudding mix on top. Whisk until combined and let it set for 5 minutes to thicken. Once thickened, carefully spoon the pudding layer over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly. Refrigerate the layered dish to chill and set.
  4. Add the Toppings: When ready to serve, spread the whipped topping evenly over the set pudding layer. Slice and serve chilled for best results.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps in the peanut butter layer.
  • Use creamy peanut butter for a smoother texture.
  • Chilling the dessert for at least 2 hours before serving helps the layers set properly.
  • This dessert can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For added texture, sprinkle chopped peanuts or chocolate shavings on top of the whipped topping before serving.
