A refreshing and fruity Pimm’s Cup cocktail combining the zesty flavors of Sanpellegrino Limonata, Pimm’s No. 1, fresh lemon juice, cucumber, strawberries, and basil. Perfect for warm weather gatherings or a casual summer drink.

Ingredients

Liquids

  • 2 (330 ml) cans Sanpellegrino® Limonata
  • 1 cup Pimm’s No. 1
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Fruits & Herbs

  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 8 strawberries, quartered
  • 8 fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 1 lemon, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine liquids: In a large pitcher, mix together the Sanpellegrino Limonata, Pimm’s No. 1, and freshly squeezed lemon juice until well blended.
  2. Add fruits and herbs: Stir in the thinly sliced cucumber, quartered strawberries, and torn basil leaves. Mix gently to distribute flavors evenly.
  3. Mingle flavors: Let the mixture stand for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together, enhancing the cocktail’s refreshing taste.
  4. Prepare glasses: Fill 4 highball glasses with ice cubes to chill the drink and keep it cold.
  5. Serve: Pour the prepared cocktail over the ice, making sure to divide the cucumber slices, strawberries, and basil leaves evenly among the glasses.
  6. Garnish and enjoy: Add a lemon slice to each glass as garnish and serve immediately for best flavor and freshness.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute Pimm’s No. 1 with additional Limonata or lemon soda.
  • Adjust the lemon juice to taste for preferred balance of tartness.
  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries and fresh basil leaves for the best aroma and flavor.
  • Letting the cocktail sit longer than 10 minutes may intensify the flavors but can also cause the fruit to become soggy.
  • Serve chilled and consume promptly for optimal taste.
