These Sausage Biscuit Uncrustables are a delicious and convenient twist on the classic sandwich, featuring pre-cooked sausage patties and a blend of Colby Jack and Pepper Jack cheeses encased in flaky biscuit dough. Perfect for a quick breakfast or snack, they bake to golden perfection with a buttery, seasoned topping.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 Sausage Patties, Frozen, Pre-cooked, cut into fourths
  • 2 Slices Colby Jack Cheese, cut into fourths
  • 2 Slices Pepper Jack Cheese, cut into fourths
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 1 Tablespoon Everything Bagel Seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or use a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking. Set it aside while you prepare the biscuits.
  2. Prepare the Biscuit Dough: Separate each biscuit into two halves and gently flatten each half slightly. This will make it easier to layer in your fillings and seal properly.
  3. Layer the Fillings: On the bottom half of each biscuit, place one-quarter slice of Colby Jack cheese, one-quarter of a pre-cooked sausage patty, followed by one-quarter slice of Pepper Jack cheese. Make sure the fillings are evenly distributed.
  4. Seal the Biscuits: Place the top half of the biscuit over the fillings. Gently pull the dough edges over the fillings to enclose them completely, then pinch the edges firmly all around to seal the biscuit and prevent any filling from leaking out during baking.
  5. Prepare for Baking: Arrange the stuffed biscuits on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter, then sprinkle everything bagel seasoning over each biscuit for a flavorful finish.
  6. Bake: Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until the tops turn a golden brown color and the biscuits are cooked through.
  7. Cool and Serve: Remove the biscuits from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before serving. For storage, keep leftovers in a Ziploc bag in the refrigerator and reheat in the microwave on high for 30 seconds.

Notes

  • You can substitute the sausage patties with cooked breakfast sausage crumbles if preferred.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce inside the biscuit before sealing.
  • Ensure the edges are well pinched to avoid cheese and sausage leaking during baking.
  • These can be made ahead and frozen before baking; bake them directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
  • If you want a softer biscuit, brush the tops with honey-butter before baking.
