Delightfully spooky and delicious, these Strawberry Ghosts are perfect for Halloween or any festive occasion. Fresh strawberries are coated in creamy white chocolate and decorated with dark chocolate to create charming ghostly faces. This easy no-bake treat combines natural fruit sweetness with rich chocolate flavor, making it a fun and elegant dessert for all ages.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces fresh strawberries, washed and completely dry
  • 10 ounce bag quality white chocolate chips, vegan or dairy free as needed
  • 2 tablespoons dark mini chocolate chips, vegan or dairy free as needed
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting of white chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Melt white chocolate and coconut oil: In a small saucepan, gently melt the white chocolate chips and coconut oil over low heat, stirring frequently until the mixture is smooth and fully melted. Alternatively, melt in the microwave using half power in 15-second increments, stirring in between each until fully melted.
  2. Dip strawberries: Using a fork or candy dipping tool, carefully coat each strawberry in the melted white chocolate, ensuring full coverage. Place the dipped strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to set. Repeat for all strawberries.
  3. Melt dark chocolate chips: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark mini chocolate chips on half power in 10-second increments, stirring between each until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Decorate faces: Once the white chocolate coating on strawberries has dried and set, dip a toothpick into the melted dark chocolate and carefully dot eyes and a mouth onto each strawberry to create ghost faces. Allow the chocolate to fully harden, about 15-20 minutes, before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to ensure chocolate sticks properly.
  • If the white chocolate gets too thick as it cools, gently rewarm to maintain a smooth consistency.
  • Use vegan or dairy-free chocolate chips if dietary restrictions require.
  • Store the finished strawberry ghosts in a cool, dry place or refrigerate for up to 2 days.
  • For an extra spooky effect, add a small chocolate chip or candy as a ghostly mouth or other features.
