A refreshing and nutritious tropical smoothie packed with banana, pineapple, mango, and optional strawberries, enhanced with spinach, protein powder, and hemp seeds for a delicious, energizing drink perfect for breakfast or a healthy snack.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 1 large ripe banana (frozen)
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup mango chunks
  • 4 ripe strawberries (optional)

Liquids and Add-ins

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 2 scoops protein powder
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp hemp seeds (or chia seeds)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add all of the smoothie ingredients — pineapple, mango, banana, strawberries, orange juice, spinach, protein powder, and hemp seeds — into a high-powered blender.
  2. Blend Until Smooth: Blend the mixture on high speed until the smoothie is fully smooth, ensuring even texture and well-mixed flavors.
  3. Adjust Consistency: Taste the smoothie to check flavor and texture. For a colder and thicker smoothie, add 3 to 5 large ice cubes and blend again until incorporated.
  4. Thin if Desired: If the smoothie is too thick, add more orange juice or your choice of milk to reach your preferred consistency and blend briefly to mix.
  5. Serve and Store: Pour the smoothie into one large glass or two medium-sized glasses. Enjoy immediately or store leftovers in an airtight jar for up to 24 hours, although it is best consumed fresh.

Notes

  • Use frozen banana to create a naturally creamy and chilled smoothie without needing much ice.
  • Spinach adds nutrients without altering the fruity flavor significantly.
  • Protein powder can be plant-based or whey, depending on preference.
  • Hemp or chia seeds provide healthy fats and extra fiber.
  • Adjust fruit quantities to suit sweetness or tartness preferences.
  • Consume the smoothie fresh for best taste and nutrient retention.
