A quick and easy recipe for perfectly crisp and lightly salted air-fried edamame, making a healthy and delicious snack or appetizer that’s ready in minutes.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 12 ounce bag of frozen edamame (no need to defrost)
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil (olive oil is fine too)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt, divided use

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes to ensure even cooking and optimal crispiness.
  2. Prepare Edamame: Add the frozen edamame directly into the air fryer basket. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of avocado oil and sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of fine sea salt. Shake the basket or toss the edamame to coat evenly in oil and salt.
  3. Cook the Edamame: Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket a few times during cooking to ensure even roasting and prevent sticking.
  4. Cool and Season: Once cooked, transfer the edamame to a plate or bowl to cool completely, allowing them to crisp up further. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon sea salt if desired before serving.

Notes

  • You do not need to defrost the edamame before air frying.
  • Shaking the basket halfway through cooking helps ensure even crispiness.
  • Feel free to substitute avocado oil with olive oil if preferred.
  • The cooling step is important for achieving maximum crispness.
  • Adjust salt amount according to taste.
