Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps are a quick and satisfying meal, perfect for busy weeknights or easy lunches. Tender cooked chicken is mixed with creamy cheeses and aromatic garlic, wrapped in a tortilla, and toasted until golden and melty. You can whip these up in under 30 minutes, and they’re extremely versatile—serve them solo, with a light salad, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Main Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Wrap & Toast

  • 4 large tortillas
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter, for toasting

Special Equipment

  • Non-stick skillet or grill pan
  • Spatula for flipping wraps

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and parsley if using. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well blended and the mixture is creamy and evenly seasoned.
  2. Assemble the Wraps: Lay a tortilla flat on your work surface. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken and cheese filling onto the center of the tortilla. Spread the filling slightly, leaving space around the edges. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly to form a wrap, enclosing the filling fully.
  3. Toast the Wraps: Heat the olive oil or butter in a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Once hot, place the wraps seam-side down in the pan. Cook for 2–3 minutes, pressing gently, until the underside is golden brown and crispy. Flip each wrap and toast the other side for another 2 minutes, until equally crisp and the filling is heated through.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Remove the toasted wraps from the pan and let them cool for a minute. Slice each wrap in half at a diagonal and serve warm. They pair well with a simple salad or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Rotisserie chicken makes this recipe even faster.
  • You can swap the cheddar for mozzarella or pepper jack for a different flavor.
  • Feel free to add extra veggies, like baby spinach or sautéed bell peppers, for more color and nutrition.
  • For a crispier wrap, use a cast iron skillet or grill pan.
  • Wrap leftovers in foil and reheat in the oven or air fryer for best results.
