This creamy Miracle Whip coleslaw is a quick and easy side dish combining a crunchy cabbage mix with a tangy and sweet dressing made from Miracle Whip, sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Perfect for summer cookouts, picnics, or as a refreshing accompaniment to your favorite meals.

Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 14-16 ounces pre-shredded cabbage mix (coleslaw blend)
  • 2 cups shredded red cabbage
  • ¼ – ⅓ cup thinly sliced red onions

Dressing

  • 1 cup Miracle Whip (or mayonnaise)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (or to taste)
  • 2½ tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vegetables: Add 14-16 ounces of pre-shredded cabbage mix, 2 cups of shredded red cabbage, and ¼ to ⅓ cup of thinly sliced red onions to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Make the dressing: In a separate small bowl, stir together 1 cup of Miracle Whip, ¼ cup of granulated sugar, and 2½ tablespoons of apple cider vinegar until well combined.
  3. Combine and toss: Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss thoroughly to coat all the vegetables evenly with the dressing.
  4. Serve or chill: Serve the coleslaw immediately for a fresh crunch, or refrigerate for at least two hours to allow the flavors to meld and develop better depth.

Notes

  • You can substitute mayonnaise for Miracle Whip if you prefer a less tangy flavor.
  • Adjust the sugar amount to suit your desired sweetness level.
  • For best flavor, chill the coleslaw for two hours before serving.
  • This coleslaw is best served fresh but can be stored refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Additions like shredded carrots or chopped fresh parsley can provide extra color and flavor.
