Made with a blend of cream cheese, sour cream, Italian cheeses, spinach, artichoke hearts, and a hint of spice, it’s baked until bubbly and golden on top. Serve warm with tortilla chips or sliced baguette for a delicious crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Dip Base

  • 1 8 oz package of cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup of sour cream

Cheeses

  • 1/2 cup of Italian cheeses (parmesan and romano)
  • 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese (plus extra for topping)

Vegetables & Seasonings

  • 1/2 cup of frozen spinach or 1 cup of cooked spinach (drained)
  • 1 15 oz can of artichoke hearts (drained and finely diced)
  • 3 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the dip.
  2. Prepare Artichokes: Drain the can of artichoke hearts thoroughly and dice them finely to ensure they mix well into the dip.
  3. Combine Vegetables: In a mixing bowl, add the diced artichokes and frozen spinach (thawed and drained if using frozen).
  4. Add Creamy Ingredients: Into the bowl, add the softened cream cheese, sour cream, minced garlic, and Italian cheeses. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
  5. Incorporate Mozzarella: Mix in 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese into the dip, reserving some mozzarella cheese to sprinkle on top before baking.
  6. Season the Dip: Season the mixture with red pepper flakes, dried basil, and adjust with any additional spices you prefer.
  7. Bake the Dip: Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, sprinkle the reserved mozzarella cheese evenly on top, and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve warm with tortilla chips or sliced French baguette for dipping.

Notes

  • Drain spinach and artichokes well to avoid a watery dip.
  • You can substitute frozen spinach with fresh spinach, cooked and drained, if preferred.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes according to your spice tolerance for a milder or spicier dip.
  • Leftover dip can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated before serving.
  • For a gluten-free option, serve with gluten-free crackers or vegetable sticks instead of baguette.
