Celebrate New Year’s Eve with this vibrant and refreshing Sherbet Punch, combining strawberry Kool-Aid, pineapple juice, cranberry ginger ale, and creamy pineapple sherbet for a sweet, fizzy, and fruity party drink that’s easy to prepare and perfect for large gatherings.

Ingredients

Drink Base

  • 2 packets strawberry Kool-Aid
  • 8 cups cold water
  • 46 oz pineapple juice
  • 2 liters cranberry ginger ale (can substitute regular ginger ale)

Sherbet

  • 48 oz pineapple sherbet (can substitute orange or lime sherbet)

Garnish

  • Pineapple rings
  • Raspberries

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Strawberry Kool-Aid: Add the strawberry Kool-Aid powder to a large punch bowl, then pour in the cold water. Stir continuously until the powder is completely dissolved, creating a flavorful base.
  2. Add Juices and Soda: Pour in the pineapple juice followed by the cranberry ginger ale. Stir gently to mix all the liquids together evenly without losing the carbonation.
  3. Add Sherbet: Spoon scoops of pineapple sherbet directly into the punch. The sherbet will begin to melt, adding creaminess and sweetness to the drink.
  4. Garnish the Punch: Add pineapple rings and fresh raspberries into the punch bowl, enhancing the visual appeal and adding bursts of fresh flavor.
  5. Serve the Punch: Use a large ladle to serve the punch into glasses, making sure to scoop some sherbet and fruit with each serving.
  6. Optional Garnishing per Glass: For an extra special presentation, add additional scoops of sherbet, raspberries, and pineapple rings to each glass as you serve.

Notes

  • This punch is best served immediately to enjoy the fizzy texture and cold temperature.
  • You can substitute the pineapple sherbet with orange or lime sherbet for a different but equally delicious flavor.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, all ingredients are suitable; for an adult version, consider adding a splash of vodka or rum to each glass.
  • Ensure the punch bowl is large enough to accommodate all liquids and sherbet without overflowing.
  • Fresh fruit garnish not only adds flavor but also makes the punch visually festive.
