A tender and flavorful slow cooker boneless turkey breast recipe that combines a sweet and tangy cranberry-orange sauce with warm spices, perfect for an easy and delicious meal with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Turkey

  • 3 pound boneless turkey roast

Sauce & Seasoning

  • 1 can cranberry sauce (14 ounces)
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix (2 ounces)
  • 2 teaspoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce: In a mixing bowl, stir together the cranberry sauce, orange juice, onion soup mix, brown sugar, paprika, poultry seasoning, and garlic powder until thoroughly combined to create a flavorful sauce.
  2. Place turkey in slow cooker: Put the boneless turkey roast into the bottom of the slow cooker, ensuring it sits evenly to allow for even cooking.
  3. Add sauce: Pour the cranberry mixture over the turkey roast, coating it well with the sauce for maximum flavor infusion.
  4. Cook the turkey: Cover the slow cooker with its lid and cook on low heat for 4-6 hours, or until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 165℉ when measured with an instant-read thermometer, ensuring it is fully cooked and safe to eat.
  5. Rest and slice: Remove the turkey roast from the slow cooker and carefully cut away any netting if present. Let the turkey rest for 10-15 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
  6. Serve: Slice the turkey and serve with the sauce from the slow cooker. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired for a bright, fresh touch.

Notes

  • Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the turkey is cooked fully to 165℉.
  • The resting period allows the meat to stay juicy and tender.
  • For added flavor, you can brown the turkey roast in a pan before placing it in the slow cooker.
  • Leftover turkey can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Adjust spices to taste, especially if you prefer less sweetness or more heat.
