These 20-Minute Easy Deep Dish Pizza Rolls are a quick and delicious snack or appetizer featuring soft yeast rolls filled with a savory blend of tomato sauce, cheese, Polish sausage, and red onion. A garlic butter brush and Italian seasoning enhance the flavor, while baking creates a golden, bubbly crust perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Garlic Butter

  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)

Tomato Sauce

  • 3 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pack Sister Schubert’s Parker House Style Yeast Rolls (thawed overnight)
  • 1 cup marble cheese (shredded)
  • 1 Polish sausage (diced)
  • ¼ red onion (finely diced)

Instructions

  1. Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, minced garlic, and finely chopped fresh parsley. Set this flavorful butter mixture aside to use later.
  2. Prepare the sauce: In another bowl, combine tomato sauce, ketchup, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well blended to create the pizza-style tomato base.
  3. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
  4. Shape the rolls: Place the thawed yeast rolls evenly on the prepared baking tray. Gently press down the center of each roll to create a well, leaving a slight border around the edges to form a deep dish crust effect.
  5. Assemble: Brush each roll generously with the garlic butter mixture you prepared earlier, then spoon in a layer of the tomato base. Top each with shredded marble cheese, diced Polish sausage, and finely diced red onion for a deliciously layered filling.
  6. Bake: Place the assembled rolls in the preheated oven and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the rolls turn golden brown, the cheese is bubbly, and the edges are slightly crispy. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

  • Make sure the yeast rolls are fully thawed before shaping and assembling to ensure even baking.
  • You can substitute the Polish sausage with pepperoni or cooked ground sausage for a different flavor variation.
  • If you prefer a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the tomato sauce mixture.
  • Fresh mozzarella can replace marble cheese for a creamier texture.
  • Serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping as a tasty accompaniment.
